Hello!

I’m Satomi, the oboist.

Yesterday was the recording of the radio program “Maido no Bansan”.

In July there will be a special guest: Hiroaki.

Some time ago, Hiraki participated in the band playing the guitar.

In the recording we talked about a lot of things of the past.
The time went by faster than normal.

When we finished the recording, we had dinner together. While we were eating we couldn’t stop talking.

It was such an enjoyable time. I laughed and laughed until got a stomach ache.

The picture is the drawing of the rabbit!? that Hiroaki drew in my paper cup.

In the radio program we will be able to listen some Lacroix Despheres’ songs where Hiroaki has played the guitar(Dernier paradis act 1 and singles) and a Hiroaki’s original song. Wait for it!!

I want that more guests come to the program!!

Happy New Year

Good night, I’m Sho.

It is a little bit late but, Happy New Year! This year keep supporting us please.

This is the first blog entry in 2011.

Today, we decided that the first recording of the radio via internet will be next week, 11th January (It will be broadcast at the end of January).

The recording will be held with whole members, so I don't know how we prepare microphones and headphones.

By the way, if we stay the 6 people in the control room of Lacroix studio we would be cramped.

For now, we will stay in the studio but we are thinking in meet in the living room of our houses.

I have already ordered a terminal for the headphones.

I will bring to the other members headphones or earphones. (Laugh)

This will be the first try, it will be well?

I don't know what happens at the recordings, but please excuse us even the program is boring. (Laugh)

Good Night, I am Sho.

Just a little to the end of the year.

How was this year for you?

We had the honour of meet Mizuki, we have composed Symphonia, we have taken the new photos and the preparations for the concert…

Ah… the first meeting with Mizuki was in January of this year.

I remember that it was in a café in the metropolitan area, I was with Saya waiting nervously the arrival of Mizuki.

Well, we are going to talk in details in the Internet Radio☆

About the CD making I have written it in other previous post. (It is not translated yet)

In that pause period we could tackle with tranquillity the composition of the new song and we met for first time the wonderful Souru Tooru and Atsuo Akabe .

The CD was created by the best members!

This year there was not much concerts, but in it, we carried out the revival of Lacroix Despheres, the new release, etc.

To the people who helped us and supported us, thank you very much. We received a lot of messages and comments, also the comments at BBS page, they got us so happy. For that we could rebirth.

Thank you for listening the CD and told us your great comments about it.

It was an honour receives that gentle words. Really, I am very happy.

Thank you from the heart.

This year we completed Dernier Paradis act 2, we carried out the revival of Lacroix Despheres and the concert with the new members. This was an excellent year!!

Next year we will keep performancing second act and we will create the third act.

Yesterday "Lacroix Gala Concert Special Volume" had run smoothly!

Thanks to the people who had come, to people who had supported us, to Tachikawa Babel's staff and to the other artists that performed too!

All members were waiting for this day come!!

Finally, it was the debut of the revival of Lacroix Despheres, I'm so exited.

People who had the privilege of buying in advance Dernier Paradis act2, have you already listened to it?

I think that you had enjoyed our new sound. I also said it in the MC.

All members talked on stage for first time in this live. (Laughs)

At last, it's came out that my role is a maid who works away from the country. (Laughs)

In the third act all doubts will be solved, so, wait for it!

I can't wait to see you again in a concert hall.

Mastering

Good night, I am Sho.

The other day the mastering data of the new CD arrived!

Mastering is the work of the volume adjustment, compress the sound, determination of the song’s length; this is our last work that we have created, for that is so important this work because this will influence the final result of the CD.

This time an engineer has produced two patterns for the songs, but I need to choose one or other, both are wonderful so, I can’t decide it!

Should I choose the impact, the facility for listening to or the nice sound…?

It is possible use both because there are different kinds of songs, it depends of the song.

But, after of thinking a lot about it, I’ve already chosen it!

If you are worried about my choice, please listen to the CD please☆

First Snow

It seems that today snowed in Tokyo☆

Snow…, I don’t know why, but I like it♪

Although I was born and grew up in Tokyo, I only can talk about moderate snow not about big snowfalls.

By the way, I like winter more than summer.

Reason 1. Dress large coats.

Reason 2. Feel so good in the warm of the blankets

Reason 3. It’s Christmas←Like a child.

Reason 4. I like the atmosphere that we can feel when people celebrate the New Year Day.

I like the occasions where a lot of people are celebrating something.

When the change to the 21st century was, there was a lot of agitation on worldwide.

I don’t know why, I love the atmosphere that exists when a lot of people from all parts of the world get together to celebrate like that time happened.

Basically, it’s possible that I love parties. (Laughs)

From now a member of Lacroix Despheres is a “party man”, I think that this will inspire more our activity!!!

Today I went to a woodwind quintet rehearsal.

Because of much practice, I don't know why, I get hungry...

It would be an autumn with appetite...??

It is an autumn of art too, I feel that food taste more delicious when I finished to rehearsed.

How I thought, it is an autumn with appetite.

Today I will introduce my instrument.

My instrument is a Marigaux and it was made in France.

Marigaux is the third best oboe maker.

My model is considerably old.

I've been a lot of time with my little, we are approximate 10 years that we were together.

I have a lot of memories.

From now, I want increase the memories!!

I'll do my best!!

Recently I joined Lacroix Despheres as a support guitarist. Nice to meet you♪

Although I’m only a support member, I’m going to write in the blog.

I have nothing in particular to write about in the introduction, so I’m going to write a little about my favorite guitarists.

I’m so influenced by Metallica. My life has changed a lot because of this influence (laughs)

Yesterday, I hung out in a way that I can’t do frequently, so I am going to talk about it.

I went to eat tuna aboard the ship of my senpai-musician, who piloted the ship from Kasai to Misaki, where Disneyland and its neighborhood are.

The weather was nice, and felt so good. In Misaki we had lunch and then came back through Tateyama and Yasuda’s ports.

It was a precious personal experience.

It’s beautiful to see Disneyland from the sea.

I'm Satomi, the oboist!

This is the first time that I am writing in Lacroix's blog.

On the other hand, I think that the oboe is not a musical instrument as common as other instruments, so I will introduce it.

The Oboe belongs to woodwind family.

The principal characteristic is that it is played with the mouth.

It produces sound because of its two reeds.

This kind of musical instrument is called a "double reed instruments". Also in this family of instruments is the bassoon.

This is my reed.

A lot of oboists make their own reeds or adapt the reed to suit them.

I make the reeds myself too.

On another occasion, I will talk about reeds again.

About the oboe's sound, its possible that a lot of people can't identify it immediately but, can you remember the melody of the beginning of "Swan Lake"?

In orchestra's songs there is a lot of melodies/solos played by oboe.

Oboes can be heard in a lot of Soundtracks for films, dramas and musicals.

Recently, it became famous in the piece when Mr. Miyamoto Fumiaki plays: "Kazabue".

Because of "Nodame Cantabile", Mozart's oboe concert became popular too.

Today, casually I came in to a CD shop, there I found a CD that get my attention!

There is a sequel and I have not noticed

I talked about that before, when I was in S.Q.F’s radio program. I love the Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical pieces

However, until now did not know the existence of this piece～～

Investigating, I discovered that the performances began this year on March in London.

I’ve listened some songs on the official site and on the site to buy the CD, but as I expected from Andrew Lloyd-Webber, his songs are like a treasure of beautiful melodies, I want to appreciate them in live.

Especially this song that the phantom sings, it made me cry of emotion.

They will be represented until October approximately, I will dare to go to London to appreciate it (laughs)

I wish that someday Shiki company decides to perform it in Japan.

However, it was so good go to the CD shop fortuitously

Because if not gone, yet I would not have realized to the existence of this piece～

From now on I will do my best for create beautiful pieces too.
